i've got it! no it's not contagious. ...i mean, i've got my navel pierced (:
You can't see it clearly, but it's actually turquoise in colour and very shiny (: the stud is kind of big for my little navel though. Not knowing much about it, i went for the piercing at Heeren's Body Decor. and the piercer didnt tell me much too. i didnt know that a small navel is not v.suitable for piercing and that i sld have chosen a smaller stud. i didnt know how to take care of the pierced navel, what im supposed to expect. i came out of the shop feeling like wow, the piercer's good cause the piercing was done quite fast. but the next few days when it swelled and itched and hurt, i thought the piercer sld have told me a little of what to expect.
Anyw, it's much better now except for the occasional pain when i stretch it or wear funny clothing that brushes my navel often. oh ya i got it done exactly a month ago. It wasnt a fashion statement or what (like i can show it off with my high navel. i wld have to wear a bikini out everyday -.-), just something i've wanted to try since the start of poly. Now that i've got it, it's like okay.... so now what?
Seriously, i feel that it's the aftermath thats uncomfortable. i have to clean it often and it feels quite vulnerable. i was afraid of infection :x and abstained from seafood for 2wks+ (ah! the agony.) Since my navel is really small, the stud moves up and down when i stand and sit and it was really uncomfortable the day i pierced. i felt like taking it out the next day :( , then scratch my tummy w all my might. LOL.
The piercing process was done first by clamping my skin and tightening it a few times to numb it. (That was already painful for me what with my level negative10 threshold of pain :( ) Then, the piercer said she wld leave me to it for awhile and the "awhile" was 5secs and this excruciating pain surged through me. GAH. i thought she tightened it another time but she said "okay, now i just have to put in the stud." So the fat needle was through. GREAT. All this took about 5mins?
Yep, so that was my navel piercing experience. Doesnt seem like a big deal at all now. Pardon me for my weird sentence structure or spelling mistakes today. im awfully sleepy. i thought i wld just pop in a picture and a line but as usual i blabbered non-stop. it's not interesting i know, but the lazy me's thinking "at least i've got this entry done". tee-hee. till next time, love (:
